When you need a pool safety certificate
In Queensland, pool safety laws are strict. You must have a valid pool safety certificate when:
- Selling a property with a pool
- Leasing a property with a pool
- Your current certificate has expired
What we inspect
Pool barrier height and strength
Gate latches and hinges
CPR sign visibility and condition
Non-climbable zones (NCZ)
Pool gate self-closing mechanism
Window and door access to pool area
What happens after inspection
If it passes:
We issue your QLD Pool Safety Certificate (Form 23) immediately. It is valid for two years for non-shared pools, and one year for shared pools.
If it fails:
We provide a detailed Form 26 non-conformity notice outlining exactly what needs fixing. Because we are a licensed maintenance company, we can often quote and fix common issues in-house, saving you from finding another trade.
